Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receives CV’s from multiple sources including, agencies, job sites, walk in and through the recruitment system
  • Reviews and screens CV’s for education and experience and matches them to exiting vacancies
  • Screens candidates for issues that might impact iqama issue SCFHS and MOH Licensure status
  • Forwards CV’s to the Direct Report of the area with the vacancy for review and shortlisting and coordinates feedback
  • Sets up interviews with the shortlisted candidates
  • Establishes ongoing communication with the successful candidates successful to collect all required documentation
  • Prepares internal approvals and letters of offer for signature
  • Forwards letters of offer to candidates and acts as a liaison between the candidate, the Hiring Manager and the HR Director until offer is accepted
  • Liaises with locally hired candidates in order to complete medical checkups and to initiate iqama transfer if applicable
  • Prepares Contracts and coordinates attestation processes
  • Ensures visa are assigned and that all government requirements are coordinated for visa releasing
  • Liaises with international agencies to organize all processes for document attestation and visa stamping
  • Acts as a point of contact throughout the recruitment process for the candidates under his/her assigned portfolio
  • Answers questions and provides information to the candidate to facilitate informed decision making
  • Communicates potential recruitment issues with candidates to Unit Manger or HR Director
  • Ensures recruitment office acts as the gatekeeper in terms of selection of suitable candidates
  • Prepares reports and presentations as required on weekly/Monthly basis.
  • Other duties related to the role and the mission and vision of the hospital as assigned

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

1. Assistant, Associate or Professor

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant field specializing in electronic and computer engineering. They should possess a comprehensive knowledge of electrical circuits and the fundamental principles of electrical engineering. Additionally, expertise in the fields of communications and networks, among others, is highly desirable.

The candidate should have prior teaching experience, including both courses and labs, with a focus on student-centered delivery and management at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. They should demonstrate a strong research background, with a track record of successful external grant applications, research project management, and consistent publication activity.

A proven record of mentoring and advising students is essential, along with a commitment to effective teaching and mentorship. The candidate should also have experience in regional and international accreditation frameworks and procedures, as well as standard departmental services.

2. Instructor or Lecturer

Applicants must have a MSc degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in conducting lab sessions, classroom teaching, and course development. Familiarity with local and international accreditation procedures is also desirable.

The successful applicant will be expected to participate in administrative and committee assignments for both the department and the college. Additionally, they should possess the ability to develop relationships with industry partners and assist students in securing internships and job placements.

Applicants must have Ph.D. degree in Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, or Machine Learning. The successful candidate must have a strong research record and have experience of teaching and supervising both graduate and undergraduate students. The successful candidate is expected to bring experience, energy, motivation and leadership to the Department of Software Engineering. The candidate should have in-depth knowledge, proven by a strong teaching and research record, to teach courses in one or more of the following areas: Cybersecurity, Cryptography, Secure Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Big Data and Data Analytics. In addition, the candidate should be able teach core courses in Software Engineering and Computer Science.

Instructor or Lecturer

Applicants must have MSc in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related area. Preference is given to those with lab development and teaching experience. The candidate should have a proven ability to help in teaching in the general fields of Software Engineering and Computer Science. The candidate should be able to teach core introductory courses in the Software Engineering program such as object-oriented programming, algorithms and data structures, and discrete math. The candidate must have a Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related area.
